Watson Lake and into the Yukon

On of the main attractions along the Alcan is the world famous Signpost Forest in Watson Lake. I had no idea it would be so big, it literally covers 2-3 acres packed solid with signs and llicense plates from all over the world -

I had a sign made for the mileage to Durango from this point (2,373 miles), but forgot and left it in the garage. Honestly I didn't see a single spot where I could have hung it anyway.

And what do you do during the winter in the Yukon when it's dark for 20+ hours a day, you join a curling league of course. Sign me up!!!

I also got to see a couple of small herds of Wood Bison along the road that day. They are slightly larger than the American Bison that llive on the plains and a genetically different species.

All the smaller light brown ones you see are little newborn calves, there were at least as many calves as adults it seemed.
