Tod day I left McCarthy I headed back up into Canada to make my way back to Haines Alaska so I could catch the ferry down to Juneau. I drove from a little after 10am to a little after 12 midnight. It's often times simply too beautiful to stop and of course the light this time of year never really goes away. I camped along Kluane Lake on a deserted beach that I snuck down to off the highway. This was my second favorite, well maybe my first actually, campsite of my trip thus far...

This beautiful black bear was calmly eating it's dinner about 50' off the road and could care less when I stopped to take its picture.

Midnight at my camp along the shore of Kluane Lake.

Just me, the lake, a deserted beach and a fresh set of wolf tracks running along the shore.

I haven't seen any wolves yet, but this was pretty damn cool to see at my lakeshore camp.

Things started getting really lush again on the road dropping down into Haines.

I had a little extra time in Haines before I had to catch the ferry so I went for a hike on the edge of town that was a simply stunning temperate rain forest.

Did I mention that it was lush here?
