The second full day on the road was spectacular (I have a feeling I'll be using that word a lot throughout this trip so again please bear with me;-)). Going up through northwestern Montana with the high peaks of Glacier National Park as the background to the east with varied shades of emerald green grass and farmlands in the foreground everywhere you turned.

Banff and Jasper both felt like driving through a picture postcard for nearly 150 miles.

This big boy griz was calmly ambling along the side of the road. I was also treated to the site of a young grizzly sow and her cub followed by a mountain goat with two kids around the next corner, unfortunately there was traffic and nowhere to pull over.
