The second part of this adventure was to make it all the way up to the Arctic Ocean at Deadhorse and Prudhoe Bay. 500 miles one way along the Dalton Highway...
Heading into the Brooks Range, the furthest north mountains in Aemerica.
The Yukon River swollen with glacial melt. The Yukon is the third largest river in America, after the Mississippi and Missouri rivers.
This is Bob, stationed at the Yukon River crossing BLM station, a very remote assignment to say the least!
I did a three mile bushwack across the open tundra that took three hours as it was like walking across a huge swollen sponge.
Leaving the Brooks Range and headed out onto the arctic tundra plains.
