If you're interested in seeing some of the wilds of the truly last great American frontier feel free to follow along as I spend nearly six weeks travelling to and throughout the state of Alaska. So long as I don't get eaten by a Kodiak or the state birds (mosquitos), trampled by a moose, musk ox or the caribou migration, or head butted by a Dall Sheep I plan to load photos and write brief daily journal entries all along the way... And, please bear with me as this is my first attempt at creating a website...

An ultimate road trip...
An ultimate road trip...

Throughout this journey, my goal is to provide a glimpse into the beauty of Alaska through photos, detailed route descriptions, and personal journal entries. From the peaks of the Alaska Range and Denali to the frozen waters of the Arctic Ocean to the towering glaciers in Glacier Bay National Park and the Inside Passage , I'll be documenting the experiences all along the way. As I navigate through rugged terrain and remote villages, you're invited you to immerse yourself in the magic of this untamed landscape. Follow the blogs for travel updates and reflections on the profound beauty of Alaska. Those of you who know me best know that I like to see what kind of s*** I can get myself into sometimes. Having grown up in a little town of 250 people (I think they're up to 253 now) in remote northern California my neck has a very nice redish patina if I do say so myself. Alaska has been one of my redneck fantasies dating back to grade school. Stay tuned as I try to unravel the mysteries of the Last Frontier and share my passion for exploration. Join me on this expedition if you would like as I hit the road and as they say "keep the rubber side down"! Adventure awaits and the time is now...
